An FEC Observation

Thanks to my brother, I discovered http://fec.gov/, the Federal Election Commission’s web site. In there you can find, by name, those who contributed to candidates running for President in the 2008 election cycle.

I searched by my home zip code. I was wondering how much my neighbors up the street, with the Obama yard sign, contributed.

In the web site listings, there is a field for ‘Employer/Occupation’. You can sort the data by fields, as well.

One thing I found interesting. All of those who put down that they were ‘Unemployed’, with-out exception contributed to Barack Obama, or to Hillary Clinton. It seems the quality of these candidate's followers speaks volumes.

For those unemployed, I had to think about exactly where those contributing funds came from in the first place. I am aggravated that at least some of my tax money was spent this way, lining Obama’s and Clinton’s campaign coffers. That much is just too much.

It is also noteworthy, that not one unemployed person, at least in my zip code, voted for McCain.

Just an observation.

How many mugshots have you seen of people wearing McCain, Mitt Romney, Fred Thomson, Ron Paul, etc. t-shirts?
